Hoy es la tocada de AFA, espero que todo salga chido, es allá en Satelite, y ps salió de imprevisto pero pues bueno, caeremos los que podamos. Break :: Mike War - March.30.06 Social Emblema is taking a break... We have stopped playing for around 6-7 months now while our drummer (Oscar Margain) is in USA studying at a university in McAllen. We will probably get back to playing once he is back some time in the future, but meanwhile, we have been practicing about once a month when he comes around for a few days. Our demo and everything else will be delayed until further notice. Back on Track :: Mike War - June.11.05 Finally we are back making music again, we have finished a new song but still has no definitive name, altough we are also working on fixing the older songs we had, and we will definitively be practicing more now. I have changed the practice room back to my house, and bought a snare drum to complete my small drum kit, altough it broke yesterday, but I hope to get it fixed next week. We hope to have demo's of our new songs on the internet soon. Break for Newth :: Mike War - May.2.05 We have stopped playing for a few weeks now to take a small break, and meanwhile I have been working on my new solo album and project 'Methane Dreams (by DjMiffe)' which I will release in aproximately 20 days, check out www.djmiffe.tk for more information. We will no doubt be back in a week or maybe even days playing again and making great music ;P New Covers :: Mike War - Dec.11.04 Finally I have sat down to work and I am learning 15 covers which Jayne will be learning next week in bass, and shortly after, Oscar and Jaime will be too. Some of these covers are: // Oasis - Wonderwall' // Cramberries - Zombie // Franz Ferdinand - Take me out // Slipknot - Vermillion pt.2 // Modest mouse - float on // Six Pence none the richer - Kiss me // Europe - The Final Countdown And other songs. Stay tuned for more news soon. New News :: Mike War - Nov.24.04 The latest is that Jaime is probably going to be selling his guitar soon to buy a new one. I might be buying also a new guitar soon instead of the guitar amp I had thought previously. New covers are comming up soon like a few old songs, maybe some popular rock, like cramberries, six pence none the richer, dashboard confessional, and other popular rock music of the moment. We will be trying to diversify a lot so that we can learn a whole range of styles and songs to be able to play in live events and in bar's for payment (contract). Cheers :: Mike War - Nov.21.04 Two years have gone by so fast and in a blink of an eye we are on the edge of making fully professional music. We originally started in 1999 making weird and original music (Jaime and me)... but since then and up till now, we have never been able to buy good equipment. I'm selling my 4 speakers and 1000 watt PA system to pay for my new laptop which is on the way here now and with the leftover money, I'm hoping to buy a new guitar amp. Even though it seems that all is crumbling down, there will be new projects on the way, and DMR will never end. We are going to start releasing new songs, new covers, and new gigs. We have seen many bands rise and many bands fall in our lifetime as a group, but we will certainly not end, at least not like them. Certainly we havent had so many gigs lately, not close to the number we had in 2003, but we have high hopes for 2005, starting with the WinterFest in January or Febuary. More details soon.
