.

Did You Know?
Getting a MBA will help you get ahead.
The typical MBA from the class of 2008 expects a 54% increase over their pre-MBA salary–an immediate return on the MBA investment. (GMAC)

For this report, CitiTutors checked the Business Schools of top-tier universities in New York and California.

SUMMARY
Each business school has its own requirements, but there will be a general set of required items that most schools will ask for:
1. Online application correctly filled in with all answers complete.
2. Application fee.
3. Professional Letters of recommendation.
4. Resume / CV
5. Professional qualifications in acceptable form, e.g. certified transcript of degree plus official translation.
6. GMAT score report.
7. TOEFL score report (unless native English speaker).
8. Application essays.

Note: One of the two business schools below requires proof of ability in calculus, a math discipline. Be sure to check any additional requirements prior to applying to your preferred schools. Don’t waste money – make sure you comply.

Example 1.   The University of Buffalo recommends:

** Summer, Fall or Winter:
Take the GMAT. Study for it and do your best the first time! Have your score reported to the School.

** Fall or Winter:
Plan to attend an MBA event where you will sit in on a MBA class and enjoy a campus tour.

** Spring/Summer:
Take calculus if you haven't had at least one semester with an "A" or "B" or two semesters with "C" grades. You do not have to take it at UB, but are required to have your grade reported to us.
** March 10 is the final deadline for receipt of international applications.

An applicant's file is considered to be complete only if all required documents and official test scores have been received by the MBA Programs Office by March 10.  If any document or official test score is missing from the applicant's file, the file is not considered to be complete and cannot be reviewed for the upcoming fall term.
