Services:
Individual services may be ordered at any time for a manuscript, without the need to order a package.
For instance, let's say you've already published a book with one of our competitors, but the internal layout and typesetting are not to your satisfaction.
You could fix the problem by ordering our "Book Block and PDF preparation" service and then simply use the resulting PDF file to upgrade your existing publication.
Professional Evaluation: $200
A book doctor evaluates 8-10 pages of your manuscript and reports on how well it reads (flow), use of English, reading level, grammar, punctuation, formatting, narrator's viewpoint, tense, and tone.
The editor will include a recommendation as to whether professional editing should be undertaken.
The pages will be returned fully edited with all changes annotated in MS Word for your guidance.
If the editor recommends professional editing, she or he will include a quotation for the work based on the time taken for the sample edit and your book's word count.

Book Block and PDF prep: $200
BOOK BLOCK PREPARATION
We take your preferences for internal book layout and advise you if anything conflicts with industry standards. Then we layout and typeset the entire book for you using the latest software, Adobe Indesign.
You receive your book block as an Indesign package so that it may be re-formatted to include changes in a later edition.
PDF CONVERSION
We convert your Indesign package into an industry-standard Postscript Definition File.
This is supplied to you along with your Indesign package so that you have a complete folder of all the stages of your book internal design.

Cover Layout : $100
Design cover according to book mechanicals (page count, format, etc)., place author's front/spine/rear images including author photo if supplied (up to three images including photo)
Layout front title and subtitle (if supplied) and author's name.
Layout rear blurb and/or review notes (if supplied), price, and bar code (if ISBN ordered)
Layout spine lettering (if book is over 100 pages)

Author Website+Shopping Trolley: $100
Unique domain name based on author's title or as close as possible;
(includes domain name registration for 1 year)
Design Web site using author's cover and title graphics;
Publish the site to the Web complete with appropriate search engine metadata and keywords.
The author also receives the Dreamweaver-created HTML and CSS files to enable the author to modify the site as required.

EDITING services:
Copy Edit/ Substantive / Book Doctor:
Copy editing includes flow, use of English, reading level, grammar, punctuation, formatting, tense, and tone. We also check for correct use of trademarks and names. Fully annotated in MS Word.
Substantive
Copy edit,
plus: Fix point-of-view problems, character and plot anomalies.
Book Doctor
All the items in the substantive edit, plus: Reorganization of chapters as necessary, rewriting as necessary, consultation with author via email and/or chat to establish missing details / description; the finished product will be a marketable book.
PRICES for editing reflect the status of the material. If only copy editing is necessary, the price can be as low as $20/hour, and typically, an hour can be as much as 1,500 words (roughly 5 pages).
Citiria Books will be happy to supply a quotation for editing services FREE OF CHARGE. Simply send a 1,000 word section of your manuscript attached as a Word doc (no 'docx' files please) and we'll get back to you with an estimate of the time required to edit your manuscript to your required level.

If you already have a book in print, we can almost certainly source your book at the same (or better) quality and at a lower price, for immediate distribution in the US and UK.

What we need to print your book:
1. The PDF file of the book block.
2. The cover. This can be in the form of an Indesign package, a one-piece PDF file, or even a GIF file.
