Pirate DTI Raids |
This is a rather unique item from WMR (BBC
West Midlands Radio) that I recorded off-air. It is part of a news broadcast
discussing, in general, the future of radio in the UK, and more specifically,
violence that ocurred during raids by the DTI (Dept. of Trade and Industry) on
some Afro-Carribean pirate radio stations in Birmingham.
I'm in the first part, and the second part has the head of
the Council for Consumer Affairs. Or whatever . . .
REAL AUDIO file: 16KHz mono. I salvaged this using Cool Edit Pro, from an ancient and horrible cassette tape. 14 JULY 1987 give or take a day or two... |
